More than a ceiling

The plasterer came back last Monday and finished the job, we’ve been waiting since before Christmas to have the ceilings finished.
So the weekend saw the trusty roller come out for a spin around the ceilings, I’ll get some photos with more natural light next time.

Well we didn’t quite get done what we were hoping, would have been good to have had the ceilings finished so we could have painted them as well. (1) We got 3 coats of undercoat on the front room, nice and smooth with the spray gun. (2) Then a first top coat, we thought we might be able to fill some of the gaps between the boards with paint. Not likely, time to find the gap filler. (3) Gap filler and final top coat brings it up looking good.
The room next to the front room, previously called the ‘Pink room’ had a going over with the gap filler and paint brush as well. The walls in this room seemed okay to paint over, apart from all the blue-tac and hooks that adorn them.

Hopefully the plasterer will be back soon so we can finish off these rooms with a bit of ceiling white, fans and lights. Two rooms down, kitchen, bathroom and the rest to go.
Reno Vacation Progress

Here’s a little update on the renovation front, picture 1 shows the start of the walls after we had scraped off all the old paint
Picture 2 is after the plasterer had been on the first day.
Picture 3 is after the second day of the plasterer, unfortunately his offsider came down sick and that’s as far as they got.
The last picture shows the first undercoat with the spray gun, looks like it might take a few coats.
