1000 PLUS SCHOOLS ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR SOLAR
Almost 1400 schools across the nation have already signed up for the Rudd Government’s $480 million National Solar Schools Program, Environment Minister Peter Garrett said.
Visiting Everton Park State Primary School in Brisbane, Mr Garrett said the popularity of the program - less than two months after it was launched in July- showed the eagerness of Australian schools to improve their energy efficiency, save money and help the environment.
“I am really excited by the number of registrations we’ve seen for this program already, with almost 200 schools in Queensland alone already on board and registrations growing by the day across the country.
